ENFINIA™ DNA Synthesis Failures

What happens when DNA synthesis fails

Most ENFINIA™ DNA constructs are successfully synthesized in a single production round, but some may require a second attempt. If a construct cannot be produced after two attempts, it will be considered infeasible, and you will not be charged.

If the full yield is not achieved in the first production round, a second synthesis attempt is performed before shipping. If the combined yield meets the requested amount, the DNA will be shipped on separate plates. If it falls short of the target yield, you can choose whether to receive the DNA. An order manifest is provided for each plate, with the “QC” column for this construct always showing “Fail” and the production notes stating “Only yield failed," indicating that only the yield target was not achieved while all other QC criteria were met.
