# Troubleshooting ENFINIA™ DNA Sequence Rejection

## How to troubleshoot DNA sequence rejection in the portal

The [Elegen portal](https://ecommerce.elegen.com/auth/login) will assess submitted sequences to ensure they meet manufacturing criteria.

If a sequence fails analysis in the Elegen portal, the “Complexities Identified” section will list the reason for rejection.

If your sequence contains an ORF, we recommend optimizing the coding sequence first using a codon optimization tool like [mRNA architect](https://basefacility.org.au/software/). If the codon optimized sequence still gets rejected, modify your sequence in the portal or in your gene design software to address the listed complexities and resubmit.

Please note that passing the initial portal analysis does not guarantee successful synthesis. Elegen makes two synthesis attempts for each construct. If both attempts fail, the sequence is deemed infeasible and you will not be charged.
